Company expands LATAM sales team to drive sales and provide excellent customer service
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., April 28, 2020 — Bitcentral Inc., a well-known provider of efficient media workflows in the U.S. and Latin America, welcomes Amaury Silva as senior sales director for the South American region. Silva will be focusing on driving sales both direct and through channel partners, as well as working with team members to provide the best sales support and service on customer accounts throughout South America.
Bringing more than 15 years of expertise to his role at Bitcentral, Silva will work to expand customer base and revenue streams within the South American territories of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay and Venezuela.
“Silva brings a large network of contacts, resellers and integrators, working in the broadcast industry throughout LATAM,” said Andrés Galván, Managing Director of Bitcentral México and Vice President of Sales for Bitcentral’s LATAM division. “He’s handled a large and complex product portfolio for top-tier broadcast vendors in our space, including software-defined workflow solutions like automation, media management and integrated playout, as well as IP & video infrastructure, master control, encoding and transcoding products.”
Prior to joining Bitcentral, Silva spent seven years working as a regional sales director for multiple media production companies. In these positions, he was responsible for monitoring results in the region, defining strategy in sales and marketing to ensure things were executed according to schedule, identifying opportunities in the Brazilian market, following-up with customers directly as well as presenting and negotiating proposals with a focus on results.
Along with regional sales experience, Silva has worked as a broadcast sales engineer and project engineer coordinator. He’s been a board member of SET (Engineering Society Television) for 11 years, served on SBTVD Forum of Brazilian Digital TV for six years and speaks Portuguese natively, as well as Spanish and English fluently. A graduate of the Federal University of Itajubá and a postgraduate of Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation, his extensive knowledge of media production and customer relations in the South American market will aid Bitcentral in driving sales and providing great customer service throughout the region.
