Camille Jayne, who held the role since March 2017, will retire as President of Bitcentral at the end of June. Jayne’s successor has just been named by the broadcast workflow company.
The role will now be held by Gregory Mason, who will also be joining Bitcentral’s board of directors. Mason has a longtime strategic and results-driven track record in a breadth of digital arenas including media, marketplaces, and SaaS.
Jayne retires on June 30, concluding a 38-year business career.
For Mason, the role at Bitcentral follows two decades of experience in executive leadership roles, including most recently as President/Founder of GAM Consulting. Prior to that, Mason was CEO and Director at Purch, Inc., a digital publishing and marketplace platform now within Future plc, parent to industry trade publications Next TV, Multichannel News, and brand Broadcasting & Cable, which was recently folded into Next TV.
Mason was selected to fill the Bitcentral role of president following an extensive five-month search process.
Earlier in his career, Mason spent more than 10 years in an array of divisional General Manager/SVP roles at CBS Interactive and CNET Networks (acquired by CBS Corporation). This period culminated in Mason’s leadership of CBSi’s largest and most profitable unit and brand portfolio which included CNET, ZDNET, TechRepublic, CBSNews.com, BNET, CBSMoneywatch, and CNET Content Solutions.
