Newport Beach, CA – April 4, 2014 — Bitcentral, dedicated to open news production, management and publishing solutions, announced it will be unveiling another new product at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Convention in Las Vegas. At NAB 2014, Bitcentral will debut its Mobile Contribution Module which extends field-based workflows with support for mobile devices like smartphones and tablets. The announcement was made today by Rick Young, VP of Product Strategy and Sales, at Bitcentral.
Mobile Contribution enables teams working in the field to instantaneously deliver video, images, scripts and other metadata back to the facility. Items can be immediately attached and available for playout or one-click publishing to digital platforms. Reporters and crews in the field are now able to stay in the field longer and turn more stories every day.
“This is a great story for our customers. We have already heard reports on how this simple to use tool is enabling coverage for air, digital and social platforms that was not available previously,” said Young. “We spend our days with our phone or tablets in our hands so we worked hard to build the right news coverage tool for those devices. The early results have been incredible.”
Bitcentral Mobile Contribution is in production at a number of facilities and locations and has been used to cover breaking news events and the crippling winter snow and ice storms.
Bitcentral will be showcasing its complete line of solutions at NAB 2014, April 7-10, in the South Hall, Booth SU5510, at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
