Camille Jayne’s work with visionaries continues
Newport Beach, Calif. (March 6, 2018) – On March 7 2018, Camille Jayne will mark her first anniversary as president of Bitcentral, Inc. Over the past 24 years, at four previous companies, Jayne became known for delivering explosive and profitable growth through focused strategic thinking and disciplined process implementation. As she held the titles of SVP, chairman, CEO or president, Jayne worked with leading industry visionaries. Her work today, at Bitcentral, is no exception.
Jayne had been a Bitcentral Board Director since 2001 when Founder/CEO Fred Fourcher asked her to join Bitcentral as president to help structure the company to reach the next level in the rapidly changing broadcast industry and, importantly, to lead the team to deliver his vision of an innovative platform believed to be revolutionary for content producers.
Her work with some of the top U.S. visionaries is impressive. In 1994, Jayne got a call from cable giant Telecommunications, Inc. to oversee development and the successful launch of then- Chairman/CEO John Malone’s vision of the first digital TV cable product. In 1997, she received a call to be Chairman/CEO of Universal Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: UEIC) to lead a stunning turnaround of UEI, whose founder, Paul Darbee, invented the universal remote-control technology. UEI is now the world leader in remote controls. In 2007, Jayne received a call from J.D. (Dave) Power III, founder of J.D. Power & Associates, to be CEO of his GPS tracking company, SkyGuard, to position it for growth and acquisition. And then, in 2017, Fourcher called Jayne to step in as president of Bitcentral to run Bitcentral and work alongside him to launch a one-stop shop, linear on demand (LOD™) workflow platform that will be unveiled at NAB 2018.
As Bitcentral president, she formed the New Ventures division to focus on the launch of the new platform; strengthened the core business teams with disciplined processes; developed personnel internally; and brought in key people in product development, QA and sales.
“We are all so grateful that Camille agreed to join us at this critical time,” said Fourcher. “She has been a true partner and advocate of Bitcentral for years, and her business management and people-centered acumen have allowed me to focus on developing technology, which is what I love and do best.” Added Jayne, “It has been an exciting year, and I look forward to working with Bitcentral’s amazing team to fuel expansive growth, and to our technology helping the industry evolve to maximize the value of their media.”
