Notice of Firefox Browser Support Issue

Firefox is dropping NPAPI support in their browsers starting March 7, 2017, according to their support announcements. This will affect all Bitcentral products that use Java and Silverlight browser applets. Those products are:

  • CORE: News
  • CORE: Select
  • Precis
  • Oasis
  • ME/EME

Firefox ESR v52 has also been retired. Subsequent updates to Firefox ESR no longer have the capability to utilize NPAPI plugins including all necessary plugins needed for (Create, Precis, and legacy Oasis versions (v3.27 or earlier)). Bitcentral can no longer recommend the use of ESR v52 due to Mozilla’s lack of support for it. We only recommend the use of the Bitcentral Core Client application to access our suite of products. To access our download for the Core application, click here. Please contact our Support team if there are any questions about installing the Core Client application.
