HPE has announced End of Service Life (EOSL) dates for the following series of server hardware:
In conjunction with those announcements and upon reaching the EOSL milestone (generally 5 years from the End of Sale date), Bitcentral will no longer release software or system updates certified to operate on these series of servers. Bitcentral will continue to support existing hardware platforms at the current release and hardware configuration level if covered under an existing support agreement. Following the expiration of a support contract, all hardware support will be provided to customers on a time and materials basis. Bitcentral will continue to support software installed on, and users of systems based on these servers. However, no further software releases, patches or updates will be made to any product running on these hardware platforms.
All older series of HPE servers and workstations as well as all series of Dell PowerEdge servers and Precision workstations will also no longer be supported and will not be eligible for any patches or updates.
Microsoft has announced Extended Support End Dates for the following generations of server and desktop operating systems:

Firefox is dropping NPAPI support in their browsers starting March 7, 2017, according to their support announcements. This will affect all Bitcentral products that use Java and Silverlight browser applets. Those products are:
Firefox ESR v52 has also been retired. Subsequent updates to Firefox ESR no longer have the capability to utilize NPAPI plugins including all necessary plugins needed for (Create, Precis, and legacy Oasis versions (v3.27 or earlier)). Bitcentral can no longer recommend the use of ESR v52 due to Mozilla’s lack of support for it. We only recommend the use of the Bitcentral Core Client application to access our suite of products. Bitcentral announces the end of life for our Precis 3 software and the corresponding hardware. No further development is being allocated to the Precis 3 product version. Further, the hardware associated with the Precis 3 version is no longer supported by our suppliers making it difficult to source and replace failed hardware. As such, we are not able to provide the mission-critical support required for a production play-to-air solution.
Our sales team will be reaching out to our remaining Precis 3 clients to work on a migration plan. The end-of-life effective date corresponds to the end date of your currently active support agreement.
Bitcentral announces the end of life for our Central Control Versions 5.x and older (all modules) and the corresponding hardware. No further development is being allocated to these versions. Furthermore, the hardware associated with these versions is no longer supported by our suppliers making it difficult to source and replace failed hardware. As such, we are not able to provide the mission-critical support required for a production play-to-air solution.
Our sales team will be reaching out to our remaining Version 5.x clients to work on a migration plan. The end of life effective date corresponds to the end date of your currently active support agreement.
Bitcentral announces the end of life for our Central Control Version 6.x (all modules) as of 12/1/2020.
Bitcentral will continue to support this software and users of systems based on these servers through the duration of existing services contracts. However, no further updates will be made to these versions or modules.
Our sales team will be reaching out to our remaining Version 6.x clients to work on a migration plan. The end-of-life effective date corresponds to the end date of your currently active support agreement.
Bitcentral announces the immediate End of Life for our Central Control “Studio” variant. Bitcentral will continue to support this software through the duration of existing services contracts.
Bitcentral announces the end of life for our Create Version 2 software effective 12/31/2022. No further development is being allocated to the Create 2 product version. Further, the hardware associated with many Create 2 deployments (ProLiant Gen8 series) is no longer supported by our supplier making it difficult to source and replace failed hardware. As such, we are not able to provide the mission-critical support required for a broadcast production solution.

Bitcentral announces the deprecation of TLS 1.0 & 1.1 support in Oasis as of June 28, 2023. After this date, workstation clients and server configurations that allow TLS 1.0 & 1.1 connections with the Oasis Transfer App client, Oasis Station servers, Oasis Central, and AWS transfer services will not be supported.
