Bitcentral has long been attending the annual NAB Show – an important meeting of the minds and place to unveil new solutions while discovering how the industry has continued to evolve. Just as the 2020 NAB Show was gearing up to kick off their annual event in Las Vegas to introduce the latest technology and trends, new programs and partners, and to create an unforgettable experience for all, events were canceled or moved to new formats to account for the coronavirus pandemic. In the case of NAB, a new digital format was introduced, allowing the industry to come together for the show in a new way.
NAB launched its digital program called NAB Show Express, taking place on May 13-14. This new digital experience was free for all to attend and was created to engage the NAB Show community by providing 24-hour access to premium content curated and customizable for the global media and entertainment community.
The NAB Show Express offered an exhibitor marketplace, giving the NAB community a chance to engage with exhibitors who would have appeared at the NAB live show. Of course, Bitcentral was one of them. As an exhibitor, we showcased some of our efficient media workflows and customized solutions to help maximize the value of video content. Bitcentral hosted three virtual events focusing on FUEL (our digital streaming platform), Core News (our news production platform with remote access & contribution), and Central Control (our comprehensive master control & automation solution). The Exhibitor Marketplace gave the audience a chance to view new products, virtual events, collateral, specials, and more.
The innovative digital platform made possible through the NAB Show Express provided a virtual yet immersive online experience. The ability to design a customized experience and engage with the content of the greatest interest to you is what made the platform unique.
The next NAB Show will be NAB Show NY, scheduled for Oct. 19-29. This event will be held in conjunction with TV2025’s Monetizing the Future event (set for Oct. 20-23). Catch Bitcentral founder Fred Fourcher on October 22nd as he joins a panel discussion on remote workflows.
