NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., September 14th, 2021 – Bitcentral Inc., an industry-leading provider of efficient media workflows, announces the general availability of its all-new version of Create, a browser-based timeline editor that enables collaboration in editing and publishing video to OTT, social media, and MOS-integrated newsroom production systems. The solution is currently being used by Nexstar Media Group, Inc., the largest television station owner in the United States, who also played a key role in its development.
“It was great to be able to work closely with Bitcentral on the development of Create’s latest release. We have historically used multiple NLE’s to produce our newscasts and we were looking to standardize our stations on a single editing platform. Create will provide our editors with all the features they need to edit and distribute stories quickly and effectively. Utilizing just one NLE increases our productivity and reduces our overall costs.” said Mark Turner, VP – Station Operations at Nexstar. “The team at Bitcentral is a true partner who understands the needs of editors in a real-time newsroom environment. They deliver the tools that make a difference.”
“At Bitcentral, we pride ourselves on the close ongoing relationships we build with our customers, and Nexstar is a perfect example of how we want our collaborations to work,” said Sam Peterson, General Manager, Core Products Business Unit, at Bitcentral.
This new version of Create helps get the right stories to the right audiences in the highest possible quality, no matter what device or platform they’re watching on. Editors can view, log, cut, edit, collaborate, and publish video content, both live and file-based, to a host of output formats and destinations – including online video platforms (OVPs), OTT, web, mobile, and social media, via Bitcentral‘s Multipath™ system, and Newsroom Computer Systems (NRCS), via Precis™. They can even cut highlights or log video during recording – whether they are working remotely or on-site.
Create is ideal for short-form, news-style editing. It provides significant efficiencies and greater flexibility by supporting multiple and simultaneous users, enabling collaboration, regardless of location, so news teams can edit breaking news stories within minutes.
